Captain Skip Schleider has been fishing the salt water bays from Matagorda to Seadrift for the last 15 years. He has previously guided freshwater trips for hybrid striped bass on Lake Somerville and has now turned his expertise to the salt. Though wade fishing with artificials is his favorite way to fish, he is equally adept pursuing fish with live bait. Family trips and newcomers are most welcome. His demeanor and teaching skills insure a fun trip for all.
He is on the Dargel Guide Team, sponsored by Coastal Bend Marine. He also endorses Suzuki Marine motors, American Rodsmith rods and Bass Assassin lures.
A conservationist at heart, Capt. Skip actively supports both CCA Texas and SCA. He has been instrumental in starting two active CCA chapters, serving as founding president of the Brenham chapter.
